We’re looking for a Content Strategist to lead the overhaul of our Newsroom (newsroom.pinterest.com) site for press. In this role, you’ll be responsible for scoping the new site, building site maps and page outlines and writing actual site copy. You’ll partner with teams across communications, marketing and design to create digital experiences that inspire press and influencers to cover Pinterest. Within our digital marketing team, you’ll also partner closely with our engineering and localization teams to make sure the site is inspiring, relevant and accurate all over the world.

What you’ll do:

• Scope new content pages and blog posts, balancing needs from comms with SEO and international requirements
• Stay in tune with comms leads and competitive analysis to make sure we’re publishing about meaningful topics that will drive impact
• Work with our cross-functional site team to develop world-class digital experiences for press
• Lead the migration from our existing platform to a new platform, managing the transfer of copy, creating and metadata
• Roll up your sleeves with our design and engineering teams to determine the right site structure that makes it easy for press to navigate and understand content
• Write evergreen comms pages and edit our blog posts
• Work with our marketing analytics team to establish the right success metrics to track over time and create scalable ways to adapt your content based on what you learn

What we’re looking for:

• You’re someone who moves with velocity in a highly cross-functional environment by gaining alignment among stakeholders and making the tough decisions when needed
• Handholding? No thanks. You’re self-motivated to take on big initiatives and carry out tasks with minimal supervision
• You have excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
• 5-10 years of content strategy experience managing large projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• A strategic thinker: You can take abstract ideas and lofty goals and distill them into content plans that our teams can easily follow
• Experience in journalism or editorial is ideal
• A lover of words: You can quickly internalize our brand voice and tone to write copy that’s edgy, urgent and always human

• All interviews will be scheduled and/or conducted by the Pinterest assignment manager. When a finalist has been selected, Magnit or the agency partner will extend the offer and provide assignment details including duration, benefits options and onboarding details.
• This is a contract position at Pinterest. As such, the contractor who fills this role will be employed either by our staffing partner (Magnit) or by an agency partner, and not an employee of Pinterest.
• We believe the workplace should be equitable, inclusive, and inspiring for every employee. In an effort to provide greater transparency, we are sharing the base pay rate range for this position. This position will pay a rate of $60 to $69 per hr. Final rate is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
