This is a full-time CONTRACT position with the same benefits as Regular full-time. Most contracts are renewable for terms of one year.

Nature of Work:
Performs professional level work involving the management of construction projects' progress and design scheduling within the Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) Division for the City city of Orlando. The individual will manage the timely completion of pre-construction and construction activities such as assistance with procurement and construction schedule development. Reviews upcoming construction projects at the 60% and 90% desgn phase. Manages small and large scale construction projects for other departments and divisions in the city of Orlando such as Streets & Stormwater, Water Reclamation, Fire Department, Police Department, Housing, Parks, Venues, etc. Manages complex special projects for the Department and Division such as the modernization of the City’s CIP Division's processes to include, but not limited to, on-boarding of Division/Department-wide enterprise project management software. Other tasks as-needed may be assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Division Manager and Assistant Division Manager and is reviewed during bi-weekly meetings and periodic on-site visits. Candidates with a Contractor's License preferred.
