Job Description
Overview:
Job Summary:
  • The Compliance Manager will enhance Ventra’s compliance program and will be responsible for providing oversight and support of Ventra’s compliance policies, procedures, training programs and controls to help ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions and Tasks:
  • Drafting, updating, implementing, managing, and enforcing the company’s compliance plan and all relevant compliance policies and procedures
  • Helping drive culture of compliance throughout the company, including development of compliance communication strategy
  • Providing timely advice and leadership to stakeholders in relation to compliance issues and inquiries
  • Preparing compliance training materials, coordinating rollout of compliance training to new and existing employees and applicable contractors, and ensuring completion of trainings by Ventra team members
  • Reporting on compliance issues and incidents to Compliance Committee
  • Preparing materials for Compliance Committee meetings
  • Managing investigations on all compliance incidents and issues
  • Conducting research on laws and regulations affecting the company
  • Day-to-day management of Ventra’s compliance hotline and incident tracking system
  • Coordinating rollout and training on new or updated policies and directives when required
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Working knowledge and experience with HIPAA, OIG compliance and U.S. healthcare fraud and abuse laws
  • Compliance certification (or will become certified within 1 year)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years’ experience in healthcare compliance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies
  • Proactive, responsive and detail-oriented
  • Basic Math skills
  • Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast paced environment
  • Basic touch 10 key skills
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software skills
