Job Description
Responsible for overseeing the administration, customization, and configuration of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) technology applications to meet governance strategy. Works closely with GRC leaders to identify system and support needs, develop and manage systems roadmaps, identify areas for enhancement and opportunities to improve efficiency within the system. Plays a key role in ensuring the technology meets the needs of all three governance lines. Develops creative process flows and automation that drive innovation while overseeing the team that performs routine hands-on maintenance and configuration.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborates with organizational leadership to ensure team projects are appropriately prioritized and align with organizational and team strategy.
  • Responsible for ongoing assessment of platform adequacy, reports on project and system metrics, and makes recommendations for new technologies.
  • Informs and executes broader GRC technology stack strategy with direct responsibility for the delivery and implementation of governance technology platform.
  • Sets team performance goals and creates a culture of accountability where individual team members take ownership for the accomplishment of performance metrics while looking for creative solutions to problems.
  • Implements and manages governance technology platforms including Archer Integrated Risk Management Platform and ACES Quality Management Software.
  • Mentor and coach team members.
  • Manage technology upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution as needed in close collaboration with IT team and GRC third-party provider.
  • Primary point of contact for system vendors and consultants, responsible for proactively identifying and resolving issues related to service level agreements, managing vendor resources, managing system upgrades, and making recommendations about adoption of new system functionality.
  • Maintains accurate risk and quality assessments for ongoing projects and current platforms, outlining risks to on-time completion, deliverables, and quality. Develops and manages contingency plans when project or platform objectives are in jeopardy.
  • Ensures user acceptance criteria are established at project outset and are met by project completion. Leads development reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes.
  • Supervises and delegates various project tasks to the governance and risk technology team to enable individuals to perform the essential job functions.
  • Provides input and actively implements strategic plan for the team, manages and maintains team procedures, development documentation, and record retention.
  • Oversees system integration and enhancement projects, including requirements gathering, adequate scoping, resource allocation, roadmap development, and timely project completion.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working with Risk and Compliance principals and processes (e.g., control frameworks, controls assessments, policies and procedures, risk management processes, third-party risk, etc.)
  • Experience managing product or technology teams
  • 3+ years RSA Archer experience in building Advanced Workflow, Access Control, UI design, Reporting, Dashboards, iViews and DDEs
  • Demonstrated experience with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • 6+ years of related experience in a Business Analyst, Project Management, Program Management, Product Management, Compliance, Risk Management, or IT Risk Management capacity

Education

Bachelor’s degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or four years of similar related experience.

Licenses, Certificates, Registrations

IT, GRC, or related certifications preferred (CISA, CISSP, Archer Certification)

Project Management Certification preferred

Managerial Responsibility

Has managerial responsibility for a group employees with diversified functions. Policies and practices may be implemented through subordinate supervisors. Estimates personnel needs and assigns work to meet these needs. Supervises, coordinates, coaches and reviews the work of assigned staff. Recommends candidates for employment, conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff, and applies company policy/disciplinary action.

Language Skills

Demonstrated ability to clearly express ideas, methodology, results and recommendations verbally, in writing and through insightful reports and graphic illustrations

Demonstrated ability to document outcomes and present information in a manner appropriate for key stakeholders and all levels of the organization.

Computer/Office Equipment Skills

  • Advanced Workflow
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with analytical and reporting software preferred (RSA Archer)
  • APIs
  • Java & JavaScript (Preferred)
  • Experience with RSA Archer platform or related skills in other IRM/GRC platforms, complex Excel calculations, share point, and business analysis that are easily transferable to RSA Archer platform
  • SQL
  • Data Gateway
