Role and Responsibilities
The IT Manager is responsible for the overall IT infrastructure at Scilex. This includes managing the helpdesk, resolving user issues on time, deploying new endpoints for employees. The IT manager is also responsible for managing a small team of IT analysts or contractors in assigning the work and ensuring proper closure of issues.
- Building new laptops with windows and Microsoft standard software and troubleshooting issues with user laptops/iPad/phones.
- Supporting office network with switches, Internet, routers/APs, Printers and other IT equipment.
- Developing new IT solutions for the business.
- Analyzing current IT systems, architectures, and processes.
- Identifying risks, issues, and areas for development within the company's IT framework.
- Advising management on weak points, avenues for improvement, and risks in the company's IT infrastructure.
- Handling user reported issues (through IT helpdesk or direct) promptly and documenting solutions.
- Troubleshooting issues with Microsoft O365 mail systems. Securing O365 environment with appropriate configurations against spam and fishing emails.
- Maintaining robust systems processes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory bodies.
- Strategizing with other key stakeholders on how to best align IT systems with company objectives.
- Documenting IT processes and complying with regulations that the company is subject to (like SOX compliance)
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- At least 5 years of experience in an IT-related position.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and experience with both hardware and software systems.
- Skills in documenting implementations.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, business information systems, information technology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of O365, SaaS applications, windows OS, endpoints, and data security solutions like Sophos, DNS, firewalls etc..
- Ability to manage a team of IT experts and motivating them.
