Job Description
Job Summary


Mainsail Hotels is seeking a Cluster Revenue Manager to join our team! This position is a remote, work from home opportunity. As a Cluster Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for assisting both the Corporate Director of Revenue as well as the Director of Call Center Operations with inventory management, forecasting, and maximizing revenue for both branded and independent hotels. You will also be responsible for maintaining marketing efforts and act as a liaison between operating departments to ensure the execution of a successful revenue strategy.


Essential Functions


CORE WORK ACTIVITIES


Primary Requirements And Qualifications


  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Lead the weekly strategy meetings for independent properties; reviewing prior week's decisions to evaluate effectiveness; following up on assigned tasks of others; critiquing year over year variances; etc.
  • Monitor transient and group inventory to ensure straight-line availability.
  • Prepare weekly forecast and other supporting documents for independent properties.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Respond to Sales Team Business Evaluations, and rooming requests.
  • Prepare weekly strategy packets for independent properties
  • Ensure distribution channels have accurate content and pricing.
  • Develop relationships with the Online Travel Agencies (OTA) or Third Party Intermediaries to maximize opportunities through these channels.
  • Report STR Data weekly.
  • Understands and actively utilizes company marketing initiatives/incentives
  • Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Monitor compliance and participation in Company promotions and eCommerce channels.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Assist in any pre-opening build out of PMS/GDS or Yield Management Systems
  • Implements process improvements and best practices.
  • Daily room inventory management; managing room authorizations, rates, and restrictions, including communicating rate restrictions and strategy to properties.
  • Monitor hotel and competitor rates, availability, strategies, and seasonality and adjust pricing accordingly.
  • Grow RevPAR and RevPAR Index.
  • Partner with brand revenue management to create and drive a cohesive revenue strategy
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
  • Review STR reports and provide analysis of hotel performance against their comp set.


Hospitality/Conduct Requirements


Be knowledgeable about and follow the company's mission statement and values. Understand who our guests are and how we service our guests, demonstrate professionalism, take ownership, and ensure guest satisfaction.


Educational Background
  • Multi-brand or independent hotel experience
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Must be able to work extended hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong technical skills with ability to navigate third party vendors and create best practices to drive revenue.
  • Preferred:
  • Understanding of TravelClick/iHotelier
  • Current knowledge of Marriott’s Systems (OneYield, CI/TY, MARSHA or Empower)
  • IDeaS RMS or other independent RMS
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Multi-task priorities, organize, delegate work and follow through.
  • Two years prior experience in Revenue Management
  • Proficiency in the English language both written and verbal.
  • Creative and Entrepreneurial spirit with unwavering commitment and drive towards delivering winning results
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, accuracy and speed to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Opera or Lightspeed PMS
  • Passion for Revenue Management and the hotel business
  • Two- or four-year degree from a college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
