Job Brief
This Regional Training Manager is responsible for the successful implementation, oversight, and sustainability of a wide range of training programs and initiatives across a 4-5 DC region. including: The New Hire Onboarding and “Training the DHL Way”.
This position can be based in Stow, Ohio (CAK), Hebron, KY (CVG), or Orlando, FL (MCO).
Summary:
This Regional Training Manager is responsible for the successful implementation, oversight, and sustainability of a wide range of training programs and initiatives across a 4-5 DC region. including: The New Hire Onboarding and “Training the DHL Way” programs. This position is responsible for driving the culture of safety and continuous learning including developing all onsite training staff “Train the Trainers” and ensuring standardized training across the region that is aligned to DHL’s core values and DC goals. This role will build and maintain collaborative partnerships with the Leadership teams within region including Area Directors, GMs, OMS, HR Business Partners, Quality, Loss Prevention, Safety and Compliance to ensure programs are successfully and faithfully rolled out and maintained and that the training structure within the DCs is responsive to the needs of the region. On-site training staff in the region will report into this role.
This position can be located in CAK, CVG, or MCO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates closely with GM, Operations Managers, Supervisors, HR to ensure programs are achieving DC goals
- Responsible for implementation and sustainability of Leader Standard Work for all training staff in the region
- Establishes regional training budget and works within budget once approved
- Develops and leads training staff to be industry leading trainers that deliver maximum results to employees and Distribution Centers
- Directs facilitation of CES Foundations and Onboarding Program classes several times a year
- Introduces, implements, reports on the results of "Training the DHL Way" Curriculum across region
- Conducts regular site and trainer assessments to ensure regional standardization and training programs goals are being achieved
- Produces accurate and timely reporting on training program results and all defined KPIs
- Conducts monthly "State of the Training" meetings at each DC in region
- Responsible for conducting performance reviews and coaching direct reports
- Meets regularly with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding issues and decisions, plans for Region
- Together with Program Manager leads and supervises the on-site preparation and execution of the New Hire Onboarding Program including the employee continuous training modules
- Implements a wide variety of training initiatives across that region that enhance the effectiveness and engagement of the workforce
- Leads in the selection, hiring and training of all DC operations trainers
- Ensures training programs are bringing maximum value to deliver employee engagement, safety, quality, retention, and high performance
- Responsible for standardized implementation and training for new processes introduced across the region
Requirements and Skills:
- Highly organized with attention to detail and outstanding multitasking skills
- Proven track record of training and people development
- Risk management and mitigation experience
- Excellent presentation skills using MS PowerPoint
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to all levels of the organization
- Excellent management and leadership skills
Education and/or Experience:
- 5 years of successfully supervising others
- First Choice (Six Sigma) certification a plus
- TWI 40 Hour Certification (training will be provided)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, related field, or equivalent work experience
- Excellent facilitation Skills – internal training will be provided
- 3 years of training experience
Physical Demands:
- Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting
- Able to work a range of shifts based on operational needs
- Up to 75% travel may be required for offsite meetings and training
- Frequent standing and walking
