Director of the Advisory Council!


Are you a forward-thinking leader with a passion for building influential communities and driving positive global impact? We're seeking a dynamic Director of the Advisory Council to lead the creation, management, and growth of a transformative Advisory Council within our organisation.

Our mission is to amplify minority voices worldwide and provide a socially responsible alternative in the realm of social media. As the Director of the Advisory Council, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organisation's future and magnifying the reach of our mission.


Your Opportunity:

As the visionary behind our Advisory Council, you'll have the unique chance to assemble an accomplished and diverse group of professionals from around the globe. This community will serve not only as a networking hub but also as a source of strategic advice and support for our nonprofit initiatives. Through fostering connections, crafting insightful content, and orchestrating engaging events, you will empower our members to drive change, spur innovation, and make a lasting impact.


Your Responsibilities:

You'll be at the forefront of shaping the Advisory Council's identity, value proposition, and growth strategy. Your role will involve curating engaging community spaces, organizing impactful networking events, and facilitating activities that encourage members to collaborate, learn, and excel. Additionally, you'll lead our charge towards a bold aspiration: rivaling esteemed organizations such as Chief.


Beyond community cultivation, your influence will extend to fundraising strategies, marketing insights, and the overall direction of our organization. Your visionary leadership will be the driving force behind our achievements.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize networking events, workshops, resume-building sessions, and other activities to facilitate valuable connections among members.
  • Leverage the Council as a source of invaluable feedback, fundraising assistance, and marketing insights for our organization.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee an annual sponsored event in a major global city, showcasing the prestige and impact of the Advisory Council.
  • Lead the establishment and management of our Advisory Council, ensuring it becomes a distinguished and influential community.
  • Strategically position the Advisory Council as a competitive force, aiming to rival well-known organizations like Chief.
  • Assist in the management and oversight of the Advisory Board, aligning its goals with those of the Council.
  • Collaborate on defining the name, structure, and pricing model for the Advisory Council, considering its long-term objectives.
  • Curate valuable community content and create interactive spaces to ensure our members derive meaningful benefits from their involvement.
Desired Skills (Continued):
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive partnerships.
  • Leadership abilities that inspire, motivate, and align diverse professionals.
  • Prior experience as a member of, moderating/facilitating, or creating an advisory board, council, or a similar community.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen, ideally with an MBA or proven business skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to dedicating 3-5 years to this role (minimum contract is 1 year).
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in multiple languages is a bonus.
Rewards and Impact:


We estimate growing to 10,000 members in a year, in which case your yearly pay would be $300,000. Like most high-earning sales jobs, this is contingency.


Details: In this role, you'll experience both professional and personal rewards. With a compensation structure that includes a 5% share of all funds raised and a yearly performance bonus, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact and earn a significant cut.
