Rea & Associates is looking for an experienced Chief People Officer to lead our Human Resources team at any one of our Ohio office locations with an opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity. This position is responsible for developing and implementing human resource strategies that align with the firm's overall business objectives and strategic direction. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals and be a trusted business partner to our internal clients. The CPO will oversee all areas of the firm's people initiatives including talent acquisition, employee engagement, recognition, and retention, performance management, learning & development, employee relations, diversity, equity & inclusion, compliance, total rewards, M&A, and HR projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and assure adherence to budget
- Supervise and provide leadership, coaching & development to the HR team by overseeing talent acquisition, learning & development, compliance, employee relations, compensation and benefits
- Ensure pay, compensation and benefit programs are consistent, competitive and support the firm's business objectives and communications are administered
- Function as a strategic business partner to leaders across the firm regarding key organizational and management issues
- Maintain knowledge and share resources for HR legislative updates, policy creation and trends and ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations
- Assist in leading the employee transition of newly acquired businesses into the firm
- Understand key performance indicators for HR and present reports to leadership that allow business decisions to be made
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and strategies that are aligned with the firm's strategic goals and business operations objectives
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work with firm leaders to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company
- Support alignment of workforce performance with consistent HR communications including engagement surveys, firm updates and education of employees
- Develop and maintain HR metrics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HR program and initiatives
- Provide insight to and promote diversity, equity and inclusion
- Provide leadership and direction in the continued evolution of the firm's strategic plan
- Serve as a steward for the firm's culture and be responsible for communicating our values and encouraging the adoption of them
- Grow and cultivate the firm by frequent visits to offices
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or equivalent required
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred
Experience
- Prior experience working with a financial or professional services environment preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Significant business transformation including mergers and acquisitions preferred
- Ability to negotiate and influence others
- Strong strategic planning skills, including ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to enable development of people strategies
- Five (5) or more years of progressive HR leadership roles
- Strong understanding of business operations and financial management and ability to align HR initiatives to firm's goals and objectives
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships and communicate effectively with employees, managers and stakeholders
- Experience with UKG (formerly UltiPro), Quantum (performance management)
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of direct experience working in variety of HR functions
- Strong leadership skills, including ability to inspire and motivate at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to lead and manage change within the firm while developing strategies to mitigate resistance
Travel
- 25% Required - Travel to Rea offices throughout regions as needed
