Description:
Seeking a highly motivated and self-directed professional to fill the role of remote Senior Business Process Engineer/Scrum Master to serve on a team supporting Veterans Affairs. This candidate will be part of a high performing team that is tasked with supporting the VA DoD Identity Repository (VADIR) and the Veterans Information Solution (VIS).
Your primary responsibility will be to provide expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management projects, and performance measures for basic business process engagements. Defines and develops business processes, policies, roles and responsibilities, and performance metrics; Conducts analysis of business processes: current state analysis, gap analysis, benchmarking, best practices identification, organizational assessment, and other related tasks.
Responsibilities:
· Plan and implement process improvements, including future state design, change management, and transition planning
· Interface with all areas of project including customer, computer services, client services
· Provide oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures that ensure compliance with policies and that the performance and quality of services conform to established standards and agency guidelines
· Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to assure compliance
· Work directly with operating entities to provide process analyses oversight on a continuing basis to enforce requirements and meet guidelines
· May coordinate with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls
· May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement, and control
Required Skills:
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint
· Excellent analytical and organizational skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced development process
· Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to sustain your own assigned project work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
· Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with team members and management
· Must be familiar with Scrum and have worked in a Scrum environment
· Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
· Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Desired Skills:
· Experience working with the VA
· Experience working Agile Scrum development
· Experience with JIRA
· Experience in a DevOps environment and processes
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree and 5 years or more of related experience
