• Hybrid Schedule: Will work (3) days in the office and have (2) remote days.
• Reports to: Chief Finance Officer
• Location: Houston, TX
• Compensation: Starting at $100,000.00/Annually (DOE) + Bonus
• Travel: Up to 10%

Summary: The Business Manager position is directly responsible for supporting the Plant Product Line to achieve Airgas AMG’s Vision, Mission, Values, Strategic and Financial Objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Strong operation-business analytical skills.
• Capability of developing a deeper theoretical/practical business and financial knowledge generally associated with an MBA or comparable experience.
• Extremely proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google platform, and a high degree of ability to effectively utilize a variety of internal software resources to gather and analyze a wide range of data.
• SAP knowledge and experience is required.
• Project management skills (managing initiatives from idea generation to full execution).
• Must have a minimum of 5+ years of successful, results-oriented experience in Finance/Operations Control, Business or Operational functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for dealing with internal and external groups.
• Knowledge of industrial gas industry and markets served.
• Qualified candidates to possess Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business/Finance based discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of business management strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Airgas products, services, technologies and applications.

Responsibilities

• Support VP On-sites Business with timely and accurate financial information and analysis.
• Drive billing and contract management process improvements.
• Ensure customer and competitive databases and files are maintained.
• Provide financial analysis and view of current performance versus target and prior year results and clearly communicate drivers for variances.
• Assist business managers in optimizing and reporting on the sales and profitability of assigned accounts.
• Develop and maintain an updated and accurate repository of data for the On-sites Business including plant locations, age, technology, capacities, plant efficiencies, power costs, and contract terms, etc.
• Consolidate financial results of the business and prepare detailed P&Ls by product line on a monthly basis.
• Work closely with Operations Control and Planning Group to prepare financial results for the business.
• Develop a detailed understanding of the different contract terms and conditions.
• Manage the contract and billing administrators / analysts and ensure accurate and timely invoicing and price increases to customers.
• Communicate with the business managers and customers on various billing and analytical details
• Assist the contract administrators / analysts in development of his/her job skills.
