Manages the upkeep of plant equipment, building, grounds and janitorial services. Drives efficiency and improvement in response time and service of production equipment. Maintains appearance of facility in accordance with all cities, state, and federal regulations. Develops team for improved engagement, performance, and capability.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides an environment that meets Federal, State and local regulatory requirements.
• Manages all outside forklift, vehicle, and other equipment maintenance contractors.
• Maintains heating, cooling and air supply systems in the plant.
• Hands on work as needed.
• Provides status of parts needed, costs of parts and expected date repairs will be completed to broader operations team.
• Develops, measures, and drives improvement in Maintenance Team metrics and KPIs.
• Develops training plans to elevate maintenance team capability in servicing automated equipment including CNC machining equipment controls and PLC controlled automated equipment.
• Safety champion.
• Continually monitors maintenance work orders and schedules repairs based on priority.
• Establishes, administers, and documents a preventive maintenance program for critical CNC machine tools to include fluid level checks, belt wear, motor power loss, bearing fatigue, and fastener tightening.
• Position requires actively maintaining and upkeep of all plant equipment, the building, the grounds, and janitorial responsibility for cleanliness, upkeep, and availability of supplies.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Makes purchasing decisions regarding maintenance repair.
• Continually monitors building and grounds for safety issues & regulatory compliance.
• Assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing plant utility issues.
• Ensures successful execution of all contracts pertaining to the upkeep of the facility and production equipment systems.
• Effectively analyzes downtime, PM, and repair data to anticipate future needs and prepares proposals and justifications for equipment replacement.
• Leads and participates in cost improvement programs and continuous improvement/kaizen events.

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish fact and draw valid conclusions where limited standardization or information exists.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems and deal effectively with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite
• Minimum of 3 years hand-on experience in maintenance and repair of automated manufacturing machinery preferred.
• Previous CNC machining equipment training preferred.
• 5 years maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• BS degree in engineering or other relevant degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or High School Education or equivalent with 10 years of relevant experience
