Job Description
R evaComm is looking for a Business Development Director to grow our Department of Defense service portfolio. This role leads or supports strategic program development, capture management, proposal management, partner management, customer relationship management, account based marketing, and industry engagement. You got this if you have a strong foundational knowledge of DevSecOps automation tools and are able to manage the systems infrastructure.


Our projects serve the Department of Defense, financial institutions, healthcare, state, local and federal government, and other industries along with their customers.


If You Join Us, You Will


  • Provide weekly reports regarding the sales pipeline to track and forecast future work
  • Manage RVCM's pipeline of opportunities with the Department of Defense, to meet or exceed annual business growth targets
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge technical requirements with company goals and coordinate across various teams and departments
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive the capture and proposal process on through contract award
  • Develop and foster relationships with project managers, portfolio stakeholders and external partners
  • Help identify and develop solution that will be proposed in conjunction with Portfolio Director, Capture Manager, and Technical Leads
  • Support Proposal Manager throughout proposal as needed
  • Identify and help Capture Manager qualify opportunities, hand off potential opportunities and POCs to Capture Manager to lead/develop; support Capture Manager throughout process when needed
  • Conduct retroactive reviews/hot washes in collaboration with Contracts, Capture Manager, and Proposal Manager
  • Be the facilitator to remove any BD team blockers
  • Lead and develop a capture and proposal team to support business objectives; conduct training and learning opportunities for team growth and development
  • Partner with Marketing team and internal stakeholders on execution of business development strategy
  • Develop new and strengthen existing partnerships with key government decision makers
  • Help develop go/no go process; teach to others and refine based on collaborative feedback
  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Uphold, promote, and model the company's core values in all business development activity
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy for the Department of Defense portfolio in alignment with RVCM's strategic plan


Basic Qualifications


  • 2+ years relevant sales, business development, or capture experience
  • 3+ years working in an agile environment
  • 2+ years direct people leadership experience
  • Proven record of success collaborating with customers, developers, UX designers, and other non-technical partners
  • 2+ years of working with DoD and federal government
  • Direct, end-to-end experience taking opportunities through the sales funnel and onto contract award


Preferred Qualifications


  • Well versed in DevOps approach, tools, concepts and methodologies - move to preferred
  • Experience with providing custom software services and solutions to the Department of Defense
  • Experience with development of cloud based systems (PaaS, SaaS, managed services)

Salary Range: Negotiable, Based on Experience
