The Strategy & Planning team is focused on strategy formulation and prioritization, strategic and operational planning, program management, and vendor management efforts while building next-gen Total Cost of Ownership capabilities.
The Business Analyst is a Supervisor level role and reports to the Director of the Agile Center of Expertise (CoE).
The role primarily focuses on the following key activities:
- Partner with members of the McDonald’s Global Technology Agile Triad Product Platform team to gather and define requirements through interviews, workshops, and observations.
- Validate the delivered product to ensure it meets the defined requirements and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with diverse Groups, Products, and Squads to review and prioritize user stories, ensuring they are well-defined and estimated for implementation.
- Document business needs and expectations by capturing them in user stories.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Support the Agile planning process by providing insights on effort estimation, dependencies, and prioritization.
- Support the relationship with Global Technology Agile Triad teams to identify, model, and document business, process, and data requirements
- Participate in backlog refinement sessions to review, prioritize, and clarify user stories for upcoming iterations.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Assist in capturing user stories, ensuring they are well-defined, concise, and aligned with project goals.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Conduct acceptance testing and feedback on the completeness and quality of implemented features.
- Continuously enhance knowledge and understanding of Agile methodologies, industry trends, and domain-specific information.
- Assist in creating process flows, data models, wireframes, and other relevant artifacts to document and communicate requirements effectively.
- Conduct analysis and validation of requirements to identify gaps, conflicts, and opportunities for improvement.
- Supply to the continuous improvement of Agile processes, identifying areas for optimization and suggesting innovative solutions.
- Represent the Agile CoE team throughout planning, development, and release processes
- Proficiency in documentation tools and techniques, such as process flows, data models, and wireframing.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Prior experience in Agile projects or familiarity with Agile frameworks (e.g., Lean, Agile-Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programing (XP)) is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with MS Office and Atlassian Software (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- 1-2+ years’ experience with Agile ways of working in a corporate setting and or similar supporting role(s).
- Experience supporting delivery of successful projects, managing logistics, and organizing artifact and information repositories.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to contribute to the success of the Agile CoE team.
- Familiarity with requirements elicitation techniques, such as user stories, interviews, workshops, and observations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members.
