Data Analyst Jobs

We are searching for a data engineer I with python experience who learns quickly and thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The role is to help empower a global technology focused Product Validation team to reliably collect data and deliver product performance insights in the customer use case through the creative use of data. Part of the role also involves helping us build a powerful data platform to provide real data driven value to the Precision Technology group. You will design, develop, and evaluate infrastructure, data processors, and persistence from concept through production stage, and make modifications as needed. The DataOps team is currently fully remote, located in North America, and we are looking to expand our team into Europe to better support the regional Product Validation testing team. Work with teams generating and consuming data to understand the purpose, application, valid states, and interoperability of data needs. Responsible to build and maintain trust with a low error rate by developing data tests that can isolate unhealthy data for accurate analysis and reporting Develop and monitor data pipeline performance, data integrity and usage metrics Identify needs and develop infrastructure to satisfy the data pipeline for consuming data that retains target uptime. Develop data processors to validate data entering the pipeline before it's consumed by end users. May maintain and extend Data Governance and Data catalogs as appropriate. Develop and extend tools to aid in the discovery and reporting of data for system and end user insight. May generate transformed data exports to support other teams. Aid in tracking data utilization to shape enhancements to the Data Catalog. Keep abreast of new developments in the domains of cloud computing and data science. May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, in field related to specific position.
Refer to Engineer Level Guide (below) for placement in level: 1- Engineer, 2 Senior Engineer, 3 Staff Engineer, 4 Principal Engineer.
Engineering field applicable to this position: Software.
Experience with Cloud Computing (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure).
Proficiency in Automation, Provisioning, and Orchestration tools (Gitlab Pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, DataKitchen, etc.
Understanding of ETL pipelines, streaming services, and storage/access patterns
Understanding the development, persistence, and application of Machine Learning datasets is beneficial. Experience writing software to develop efficient pipeline processors; ideally in Python.
Big Data specialty certifications are beneficial.
Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.
Ability to apply design theory and methodology.
Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
Proficiency with a computer, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff across a wide variety of specialties.
