Brand Engagement Manager I
New York, NY
6-month W2 Contract
This individual will support cross-functional sustainability strategy development and implementation with a focus on formula, manufacturing, packaging, and community support. This role will assist the AVP with translating and embedding sustainability across all consumer facing touchpoints across owned and retail partner channels.
Role & Responsibilities
• Data digestion, scenario modeling and roadmap development, with a key focus on packaging transitions
• Omni-channel strategy development to bring 2030 sustainability ambitions to life across channels with consumers
• Day-to-day project management with cross-functional teams to embed sustainability across consumer experiences including marketing, e-comm, CRM, social media, education, retail design and communications
• Provide ad-hoc research, data collection, information synthesis, meeting support and analysis drafting, e.g. PowerPoint briefing decks, research memos and leadership meetings
• Supporting concept development and strategy to brief 360 campaign animations
• Developing and overseeing consumer testing
• Driving key product innovations in partnership with marketing to drive a more circular business model (e.g., Refillable products, sampling, etc), including business modeling analysis and development of expectations for each zone
• Project managing implementation of key projects including Product Impact Label, product scorecards, sustainability education (quizzes, video series, etc)
• Building unique partnerships to drive brand awareness and sustainability credibility in partnership with communications team
• Developing key materials to educate and upskill Kiehl’s Skincare experts
Qualifications/Requirements
• Undergrad degree in sustainability, marketing, or international business
• Experience working in consumer goods
• Strong project management and cross-functional work, including developing project plans, monitoring and meeting milestones, time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and strategic development skills
• Strong writing, oral and presentation skills
• Leads with positivity, with the ability to educate and collaborate cross-functionally to move teams along a journey
• Ability to work independently, be proactive, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts and non-experts alike
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
