Job Description
:
THE OPPORTUNITY

Under general guidance, supports the administration of employee benefit programs and assists employees with benefit inquiries. Coordinates policy revisions and maintains accurate benefit documentation. Assists with other benefit related duties as required. This position reports to the Benefits & Wellness Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain policies on the HR Portal. Coordinate revisions for new and existing policies and procedures. Maintain current policy listing.
  • Complete other assigned projects as needed.
  • Assist with employee questions regarding all benefit programs and provide guidance to specific resources, such as the HR Portal, myBenefits, Benefits Service Center or individual vendors as needed.
  • Maintain Benefit Summaries, Benefits at a Glance, and other benefits documentation.
  • Administer leave of absences including review of LOA mailbox and processing benefit payments for employees on leave. Create and mail letters, collect checks, reconcile payments and balances, and submit payments to accounts payable. Audit employees on leave of absence and assist with employee communications.
  • Administer the education benefit program. Review applications, process reimbursements, maintain accrual reports and monthly reporting. Administer enrollments for GEDWorks and Capella/Strayer.
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy, assign accurate coding for approval, and upload to Catalyst payment system. Coordinate weekly funding of HSA accounts and Retiree medical HRA accounts. Track and record monthly invoices.

Qualifications
HOW YOU CAN FIT (Qualifications)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of current and pending federal and state regulations regarding employee benefit programs (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, Sec. 125, FMLA, etc.…) preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service skills.
Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects at once.
Proven computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as experience with benefit administration software and HRIS systems.
Experience and Education:
3 to 5 years’ experience in benefits administration, human resources, or related field.
