What you’ll learn & achieve::
As a member of the Solar Energy Team, the Associate Project Manager will have responsibility for managing client engagements and the deliverables of the Solar Energy Team.
The role requires high organization skills with the ability to work on several projects in parallel with effective internal and external communication.
This position will work under the direction of Solar Energy Advisory Team Leader. The solar energy team contributes to the creation of bankable energy assessments used for the financing of pre-construction utility scale and commercial and industrial solar projects.
The position is high profile and requires a mature candidate with effective leadership, communication, project management, and technical skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with a can-do spirit and willingness to work hard in a team environment to achieve shared success.
  • Ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Manage solar energy projects used for development, project financing, tax equity, and sales and acquisitions.
  • Engage clients and internal staff to develop solutions to meet client needs; provide exceptional customer service with a focus of growing client relationships.
  • Work with internal resources - engineers and other project managers to ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary team to identify project risks, barriers, and issues and propose possible solutions and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare communication plan and related project status reports. Facilitate regular status meetings with internal project team, sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure a quality of work that meets and exceeds client expectations.
  • Prepare proposals detailing scope of work, team, budget and schedule for completion.
  • Manage client relationships for solar energy clients.
  • With support from senior members, work with lenders and developers as one of the main client interfaces for UL. Attend client meetings with lenders and developers as needed.

  • Total Rewards: The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position. All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation. The target for this position is 5% of the base salary offered. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level. We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
