Energy Analyst (Intern) Jobs

We seek an active and willing-to-learn Energy Analyst (Intern) to join our expanding international consulting team. Responsibilities

• Learning to Perform CAD Zoning and develop trace drawings to create eQuest Models
• Learning to update spreadsheet documentation that supports the eQuest modeling process and prepare technical reports from the results
• Learning to collaborate with team members and report to the line manager as directed.
• Learning to Create an eQuest energy model and create different HVAC, Hot Water System, Building Envelope, and Lighting systems based on the project
• Learning to generate energy simulation reports and updating the project tracker.
• Learning to perform whole building energy modeling and analysis by utilizing the ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G framework
• Learning to Compile, extract, and analyze data sheets, architectural and MEP drawings, local and national regulatory requirements, and relevant standards such as ASHRAE 90.1.
• Learning to create worksheets and update activities with the progress of projects.
• Learning to perform energy simulations to compare the Proposed Model with the Baseline Model.
• Learning to develop eQuest building geometry from plans which may be available in various formats like AutoCAD, PDFs, Images, etc.
• Learning to Calibrate/Tune eQuest models to achieve and calculate savings.

Qualifications

• Experience using building simulation software or related software tools (e.g., Trace 700, eQuest, or IES Virtual Environment Software) will be a plus
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence Software such as Power BI, and Tableau will be a plus
• Mechanical, Electrical & Environmental engineering background is desirable.
• Strong work ethic and high level of Integrity
• Energy industry certifications C.E.M, C.E.A, BCP, LEED is desirable.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE/IES 90.1 standards and building commissioning is desirable
• Knowledge of Lighting, HVAC systems, controls, and/or modeling of systems is required
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Solidworks, and CATIA
• Knowledge of Green Building rating systems such as LEED, WELL, and, Energy Star
• Clear and confident communication and writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Keen interest in the energy and sustainability industry
• Ability to effectively take on multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously
