Our client is a company focused on providing innovative and sustainable energy solutions. They specialize in the design, development, and implementation of advanced energy technologies to meet the evolving needs of the industry. With a strong emphasis on renewable energy sources, they offer comprehensive services in solar energy, energy storage, and energy management systems.
𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
- Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair activities to optimize resource utilization as necessary.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to construction close-out, O&M, and asset management-related engineering activities.
- Assess end-of-life extension and repowering opportunities for solar assets.
- Evaluate equipment performance and behavior based on guidance from AM, O&M, and Performance teams. Report findings and recommend design or operational modifications, considering performance, timing, capital expenditures, and budgeting.
- Lead root cause analysis and develop remediation plans for defective equipment, including enhancing the design of problematic parts to improve performance and reliability.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site and off-site activities related to retrofit and repair projects for the company's energy projects.
𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
- Familiarity with FERC and ISO rules and standards is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required; Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Solar Engineering with a strong understanding of solar project technical characteristics.
- Demonstrated experience preparing or managing outside consultants in load flow and other grid studies to assess the feasibility of interconnection cost economics.
- Experience in the design and/or operations of other renewable energy projects is preferred.
- Expert knowledge of renewable energy engineering documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, PlantPredict, Helioscope, Excel, Word, and Smartsheet.
- Working knowledge of key renewable energy document types, including project agreements and permits.
- Preferred experience in conducting site visits and evaluating technical field issues.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) is preferred.
