As part of the Disney College & International Recruitment team, the Associate Recruiter needs to be energized by relationships and fueled by curiosity in assisting top talent for the Disney College Program. Your Role…


In this exciting role, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of people, process, and technology within a fast-paced environment. You will conduct interviews for candidates who have applied to the Disney College Program. The intent of the interview is to assess the candidate’s interest and ability to be successful on the DCP as well as gain the understanding of the candidate’s preferences for role placement and support them with any questions they have along the candidate journey. Written and verbal communication skills are essential and one’s ability to create an open environment where a candidate’s talents and abilities can be assessed while being able to successfully align talent to the right fit roles is key. Along with ensuring applicants experience memorable interactions, you will be part of a team who continually challenges themselves to undergo constant evolution within our operational processes.

What You Bring to the Role:


  • Task and solution oriented with experience following structured processes
  • Ability to work in a structured and autonomous environment while communicating effectively with key team members
  • Strong understanding of recruitment operations with focus on interview techniques and applicant assessments inclusive of proven ability to be an active listener
  • Ability to multi-task and stay attentive in a rapidly changing work environment while effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects as well as being proactive with the logistics of the role
  • Excellent verbal communication skills while creating an effective engagement experience in supporting our applicants
  • Proven ability to navigate and troubleshoot from a computer technology standpoint

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience utilizing Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) as well as SharePoint
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment and communicate effectively with minimal direction or supervision


Preferred Training/Education:


  • Experience with Kenexa
  • Leading teams: proven experience leading College Program students
  • Partnering: proven experience partnering with Disney Internships & Programs areas
  • Proven success with recruitment / interview experiences / College Program Recruitment Experience
  • Prior or current The Walt Disney Company experience with understanding of Disney’s HR systems and processes


The hiring range for this remote position is $33,014 to $44,286 per year based on a 24 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.


Additional Information:


  • Required Availability: This position is Casual Temporary and current state it is required to provide a minimum of 24 hours per week based on Eastern Standard Time office hours (Monday – Friday) during recruitment seasons (August – November, January – April.) (Exceptions may apply based on Associate Recruiter location.). Availability during non-recruitment season will be required based on business need.
  • Location: Open to remote. This position can be located throughout most of the continental United States utilizing a dedicated home office (that includes reliable phone and high-speed wired internet service and video capability.)
  • Travel: Travel to the Orlando area may be required for initial on-boarding training as well as potential ongoing training (typically once per year)
