Student Recruiter

Recruit’s students for Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC).

• Develops coordinates and delivers outreach programs and marketing strategies, including community workshops and related recruitment efforts; arranges visits and tours for prospective students and parents.
• Provides input for internal coordination of college student recruitment and enrollment management goals.
• Coordinates college participation for local college recruitment fairs, conferences, and related outreach events to help establish and administer programs for recruiting students to all PHSC programs.
• Represents PHSC to targeted constituencies; visits high schools and speaks to groups and individual students; meets with school counselors, administrators and/or other constituent groups to promote outreach activities.
• Assists the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Management in preparing reports and proposals regarding recruitment and outreach activities and responds to inquiries from students and minority agencies and for setting goals for overall enrollment as well as for individualized programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Develops and maintains partnerships between PHSC, local school systems, community partners, companies with tuition educational reimbursement plans, and other identified groups throughout the district.
• Creates, packages, monitors, and distributes resource materials for student recruitment programs; analyzes trends in recruitment; develops strategies for program evaluation.

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.

• Strong writing and presentation skills.
• Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• Travel to all PHSC campuses and other areas required.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).

Experience working with diverse student populations and some experience in student recruitment or advising at the postsecondary level.
