The Associate Accountant will be a key member of the global accounting team based at the company's corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of YETI's financial statements and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Position Type (See Workplace Approach Below): Hybrid

Responsibilities:

• Work cross functionally to support business initiatives and adjust existing processes for business changes
• Drive process improvements in close process
• Partner with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure timely and accurate application of outgoing and incoming payments.
• Prepare support and participate in quarterly and annual external audit procedures
• Responsible for ensuring accuracy of credit card processing fees
• Reconcile YETI Retail sale activity and provide ad-hoc accounting support for the retail channel
• Responsible for performing daily and monthly cash reconciliation processes, including reconciling credit card settlements
• Perform key controls associated with key financial processes (e.g. cash reconciliation) and make improvements to control environment as needed
• Perform month-end close responsibilities (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, and various analysis) for assigned areas

Qualifications and Attributes:

• At least 0-2 years of accounting experience
• CPA designation preferred
• Able to drive process improvements that increase the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables
• Unquestioned personal integrity and work ethic
• Experience performing reconciliations and researching reconciling items
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance related field
• Understanding of financial statements and US GAAP
• Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
• Combined curiosity with critical thinking and good judgment, and likes asking "why" to unravel a seemingly complex problem and get to the root cause
• Humble and hungry to succeed as part of the team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and an ability to understand complex business and financial matters

US Workplace Approach:

• Remote: Role is full-time remote.
• Hybrid: Role requires you to be located in Austin, Texas and is a mixture of onsite and remote.
• Onsite: Role requires you to be onsite full-time.
