Position Overview:
Chief Talent Group, on behalf of our client, is seeking a Sr. Gas Plant Accountant with a robust background in gas plant operations and accounting, familiar with various aspects of the midstream sector. This role will require deep technical knowledge, strong analytical skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle accounting and financial responsibilities for various gas plant operations.
- Maintain and update gas plant balances.
- Track and reconcile plant data to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare monthly accounting reports.
- Assist in audit preparation and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize plant profitability.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, we would like you to answer the following questions:
- How many gas plants have you previously worked with?
- What was the size (capacity) of these plants?
- Were the plants involved in both gathering and processing, or was their role primarily at the inlet of the plant?
- Do you have experience with Supersystem? If yes, could you describe the nature and extent of your experience?
- How many producers have you worked with in your previous roles?
- Do you have experience with fixed recovery contracts? Could you provide examples from your past work?
- Are you familiar with the Waterfield energy software? If yes, could you describe the extent of your usage and your proficiency level?
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the midstream sector.
- Strong knowledge of gas plant operations and midstream accounting principles.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
