We are seeking to hire an Assistant Vice President ( AVP ) for College and Unit Development. This position reports to the Vice President for University Advancement.
Salary Information Commensurate with experience
Position Summary
As the leader of UNT College and Unit Development, the AVP will provide direction for university fundraising efforts in academic units, collaborating with respective deans and other senior administrators in developing impactful philanthropic agendas-consistent with UNT’s and colleges and units’ strategic plans-for major and prospective donors. The AVP will serve as a member of university advancement’s executive leadership team.
Minimum Qualifications
Texas Driver’s License
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

• Minimum ten years of professional fundraising experience or appropriate related experience.
• Experience in higher education fundraising preferred.
• Competency in face-to-face solicitations at the principal gift level.
• Advanced Degree
• Extensive strategic planning experience and experience working with boards and volunteers.
• Minimum five years of experience managing multi-level professional fundraising staff.
