Assistant Production Manager
Job description
In this role, you will be supporting the development, implementation and execution of production, to ensure on-time deliveries and quality garments.
You will be working collaboratively with the cross functional teams (Design, Merchandising, Tech Design, Quality Assurance, and Global Sourcing).
You will assist your Manager to execute, with strong attention to detail, ensuring product flows through the pipeline and meets key milestones to meet product to market (P2M) demands.
Responsibilities
- Track and catalog all samples and production submissions
- Send comments to vendors on submissions for both product-development and production
- Adhere to production calendars
- Assist in managing brand line sheets, stylesheets, and updating PLM
- Recognize and study to be an expert in production lead-times globally
- Communicate issues with deliveries to all partners for responsible brands
- Assist with market preparation
- Assist Sr. Manager in ensuring on time delivery of our products, and analyzing product costs
Job Skills
- Ability to think analytically and plan to the needs of the division
- Must have experience with PLM, Excel, Word, Outlook. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop experience preferred but not necessary.
- High attention to detail
- Organization skills to handle multiple tasks and reports and complete them within deadlines
- Technical understanding of clothing construction, production, and fabric knowledge
- Strong communication skills necessary to orchestrate the efforts of others, both inside and outside of the company, in order to achieve the desired end result
Education Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in fashion related field preferred
- Associate degree in fashion related field
Experience Requirement
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced apparel environment
