Managing, developing, and growing HELM's Ethylene Glycols business as part of our team
Ownership and accountability for the P&L results of the allocated countries, territories, and business partner
Creating innovative ideas and solutions that increases the size of our business / increases profitability / decreases costs
Responsibilities
- Establish, strengthen, and expand business relationships to direct suppliers, customers and service providers market through virtual and in-person meetings as well as participation in regional conferences
- Provide guidance on pricing strategies, product information, and market developments to the local sales teams
- Negotiate short-term spot purchase/sales as well as annual purchase/sales contracts
- Be responsible for the P&L calculations for profitability, accuracy and completeness
- Accountable for overseeing and optimizing product inventory planning, procurement and cost control across the supply chain
- Develop in depth product and market knowledge (applications, markets, capacities, demands, product flow)
- Participate in determination of the general local and regional (long/short) product strategy in cooperation with the Regional Manager Americas as well as the Global team and communicate this to the HELM companies in the Region Americas
- Actively present Helm, our products, prices and value proposition to our partners
- Budgeting and Forecasting in cooperation with Regional Manager Americas and Business Analyst
- Control, monitor and manage inventory and price risk (incl. long/short-positions)
- Analyze the business performance of the department (monthly forecasting and deviation analysis)
- Coordinate and optimize the export volumes in cooperation with the Global Team
- Develop and maintain awareness related to credit terms, account management and industry / market trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in handling commodity business such as:
- Experience working with commodity chemicals
- 5 + years of experience in the petrochemical industry
