About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our clients’ team in Houston, TX. As a Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and management of financial solutions tailored to the oil and gas industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and technology, to deliver effective and customer-centric products that meet the needs of our clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn and develop their skills within the organization. This is an onsite position in our clients’ office in downtown Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Performance Analysis: Learn how to monitor product performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends. Contribute to analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance the product.
• Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research on the oil and gas industry, including market trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs. Assist in gathering and analyzing data to identify potential product opportunities and make recommendations based on your findings.
• Product Launch Support: Contribute to the launch of new finance products by preparing documentation, training materials, and marketing collateral. Assist in coordinating product demonstrations and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Project Support: Assist the product management team in coordinating projects, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met. Contribute to project planning, task prioritization, and effective communication within cross-functional teams.
• Learning and Development: Take an active role in learning the fundamentals of product management and gaining a solid understanding of finance products within the oil and gas industry. Seek out opportunities for training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to assist in product testing and bug identification. Learn how to ensure the product meets quality standards and aligns with defined requirements.
• Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather product requirements and document them in a clear and concise manner. Learn how to translate these requirements into actionable product specifications.

Requirements:

• Python and API experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive decision-making.
• Experience in the oil and gas or finance domain is preferred
• Proficient in SQL with hands-on experience in writing complex queries, optimizing database performance, and ensuring data integrity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Relevant certifications or coursework is a plus.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a strong desire to develop as a product manager.
