Assistant Fund Controller Jobs

Our client, a growing NYC based $5B AUM real estate private equity fund manager, is looking for a Senior Fund Accountant with 3 to 7 years of relevant experience. This role will work closely with the Controller, CFO, other team members and third party service providers regarding various accounting and operational matters relating to the activities of the investment manager and associated entities. This person will be accountable for the accuracy, integrity, timeliness, and consistency of all transactions associated with a series of real estate private equity funds. The position will require significant interaction with senior management, asset management, the investment team and outside consultants. Fund Administration oversight experience is a plus. A strong attention to detail is important for this role. Please only apply if you have 3 to 7 years of total experience. Total Compensation to $180k+ based on relevant on experience. Employees are expected to be in the Manhattan office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with asset management team to maintain fund models
• Help establish accounting and reporting policies and procedures for a series of real estate PE funds
• Review all reporting prepared by 3rd party fund administrators
• Assist with tax process
• Participate in valuation process

Required skills:

• Ability to lead and take ownership of the process
• Real estate private equity fund or similar fund accounting knowledge
• Attention to detail is very important.
• CPA a plus
• 3 to 7 years of total experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience interacting with senior management
