Cfo - Hedge Fund

NYC-based hedge fund with a strong 8-year track record, is actively seeking to hire a CFO/CCO to lead and manage all back-office operations of the firm. The candidate will report directly to the founder.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations workflow, including trade processing and reconciliations

• Oversee monthly NAV process for funds, including shadow accounting processing and reconciliations

• Run compliance program for the firm

• Manage external vendors, service providers & sell side relationships

• Maintain management company and GP books & records, and lead tax return processes

• Lead all HR-related activities, including benefits management

• Manage IT infrastructure

• Manage Fund audit and tax processes

• Lead investor and prospect operations due diligence processes

• Serve on Offshore Board of Directors, and lead Board processes

• Contribute to business strategy for the firm

Opportunity for a successful candidate to:

• Participate, and assume a leadership role, in other functional areas, including general management of the business side of the firm, partner relations and other areas

• Earn a substantial ownership stake in the firm

Requirements:

• Hedge fund CFO or senior-level controller experience

• Strong understanding of hedge fund accounting and operations

• Experience in recruiting, managing and developing direct reports

• Strong academic record

• CPA

• Experience as a CCO, or in completing compliance work
