Job Summary Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and take your administrative support career to the next level? The County of San Diego has an exciting ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY IVopportunity in the Land Use and Environment Group Executive Office. First round of interviews will take place the week of June 26, 2023.   • 8.23% increase to base pay (2.75% Across-the-Board + 5.48% Market Inc.) Positions that report to the Group Deputy Chief Administrative Officer will receive a 10% premium. THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR APPOINTMENT AT STEP 1, $60,548.80 ANNUALLY. County employees are subject to the County Promotion Rule for Step Placement in Accordance with Compensation Ordinance 1.3.5. The current vacancy is in the Land Use and Environment Group (LUEG)Executive Office, however, the list established by this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies in other County departments. The position in the LUEG Executive Office is eligible for a 10% premium as they provide support to a Deputy Chief Administrative Officer. As the Administrative Secretary IV, you will play a critical role in supporting the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Operations Officer and be part of a dynamic team. We are looking for an independent, organized and self-motivated candidate who values and enjoys working in a team but also independently. The Administrative Secretary plays a vital and key role in the Executive Office interacting professionally with tact and confidentiality using exceptional communication skills with Executives, schedulers, Elected Official Offices, Stakeholders and outside entities. The candidate will have the skills to manage scheduling and calendaring, respond professionally and timely to inquiries, either verbally or in writing, prepare PowerPoint presentations, correspondences, reports, or summaries from data provided, maintain office files and supplies, and provide superb customer service.   • Pre-employment Medical Screening: Approximately 3 days following successful background investigation results.
  • Four (4) years of secretarial experience performing a wide range of personal and confidential secretarial duties, OR,
  • Four (4) years of executive-level or administrative support performing increasingly complex tasks and assignments that demonstrates discretion in decision-making, interacting and communicating with executives or board members, and a strong attention to details and organizational skills, OR,
