BlackRock’s Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) team is the investment group at the heart of BlackRock's portfolio construction, asset allocation, and active management ecosystem. MASS draws on the full toolkit of index, factor, and alpha-seeking investment capabilities to deliver precise investment outcomes and innovative alpha insights. Our team of 350+ multi-asset investment professionals construct active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Currently, MASS handles over $1 trillion in assets and has a strong presence in the Americas, EMEA and throughout Asia Pacific.

MASS is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant to support our teams in New York, NY. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to manage multiple stakeholders, adapt to changes in coverage responsibilities, and be a superb team player.


Key Responsibilities


  • Be a go-to person and provide general support for the boarder team in your location
  • Handle travel planning and bookings including airline reservations, hotel accommodations, car service arrangements and similar as needed
  • Proactively manage complex diary scheduling liaising with other senior Administrative Assistants as required
  • Collaborate and partner with other administrative assistants within Multi Asset Strategies & Solutions to ensure team coverage as needed
  • Build relationships with internal support functions to navigate the firm effortlessly on behalf of Multi Asset Strategies & Solutions
  • Meet and greet visitors and clients, coordinate conference rooms, video conference meetings and meal arrangements
  • Partner with the Executives within the Multi Asset Strategies & Solutions team to enable their leadership and management of the MASS business
  • Assist on special projects for the team and staff you support


About You


  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and interact with senior management under demanding conditions
  • Curious to challenge and dig in when you find a problem and follow through to a solution
  • Experience working on a global team, understanding cultural and time zone differences
  • Experience in proactively supporting senior leaders and collaborating with others
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal guidance
  • Developed time management skills and an ability to switch between tasks quickly at short notice
  • Willing and able to adapt to changes in coverage model and partner with other assistants globally
  • Highly professional, organized and committed to excellence
  • Minimum five years of corporate administrative experience in roles that interfaced with external clients and executive management.
  • Able to build trusting relationships quickly
  • Experience working with concur for expenses and online travel bookings
  • Effective Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • A track record in thinking ahead and anticipating actions and outcomes
  • Excellent attention to detail and a desire to achieve the highest standard
  • College degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Excellent phone manners


For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $110,000 which is the equivalent of $31.25 - $52.88 per hour. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model


BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week; some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
