Under general supervision, assesses the impact, return, and costs associated with opportunities for improving work processes. Contributes to business planning, conducts needs analysis, and assesses business risks to provide recommendations aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following list of essential functions represents the duties and responsibilities typically performed in this role. It is not an exhaustive description of every position within this classification. Omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning logical duties not listed herein. * Develops project plans and specifications, estimates time requirements, establishes deadlines, monitors milestone completion, and tracks all phases of the project product/service lifecycle to create and maintain project schedules. * Assesses the business implications of technology applications in the current business environment and serves as a liaison between customers and development teams during project initiation. * Gathers, documents, and analyzes application requirements, performs application analysis, and participates in functional application design to meet business needs. * Facilitates meetings with internal subject matter experts and external business partners/vendors. * Prepares detailed technical specifications, process models, data mappings, and data models for the development of new products or modifications to existing ones.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily fulfill each essential duty and responsibility. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the role.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university; supplemented by at least five (5) years of experience in development, implementation, systems integration, and technical business analysis, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS: Preferred certifications: International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or Six Sigma certification.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Proficient in analyzing and documenting complex business processes. * Ability to make effective decisions under pressure. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Capable of explaining technical concepts to both customers and staff in non-technical terms. * Solid mathematical aptitude and effective project management skills. * Excellent communication and facilitation skills to lead discovery sessions. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. * Takes ownership and provides coordination for implementation tasks, from testing to production.
