What You’ll Do
- Assist Customer Service Representatives with day-to-day activities related to account maintenance.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality with sensitive material and information.
- Answer customer inquiries pertaining to purchase order status, product availability, in-depth product knowledge, pricing on applicable accounts, and expedited shipment requests.
- Compose or edit correspondence, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and charts/graphs.
- Resolve complex customer inquiries and non-routine matters, such as escalated calls from Customer Service Representatives.
- Collaborate with other functional areas, including Sales, Credit, and Shipping to obtain facts regarding account maintenance.
- Examine records and to determine relevance of billing correspondence, pricing on orders/commissions, group rebates, and related information.
- Knowledge of Company brands and product information required to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Computer Skills: MS Office applications and Email correspondence required. Internal systems including AS400, preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years customer service related experience, with minimum of 1-year internal experience preferred.
- Desire to grow and stay up-to-date with changes in the market and product development.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Working collaboratively as part of a fast-paced team, with strong personal organization, poise and professionalism
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively; seeks assistance from others as needed.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization required. Good Voice Quality that is conversational and professional.
- Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions, policies, guidelines and processing standards.
- Must be an effective team member that considers the group, as well as individual needs when making decisions.
- Building and maintaining positive business relationships, both internally and externally, to promote Company goals.
