Overview Benefits Support Specialists are responsible for providing support to employees and employers in the areas of benefits administration and compliance. They are responsible for ensuring that all benefits programs are administered in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. They also provide assistance to employees in understanding their benefits and helping them to make informed decisions about their benefits. Detailed Job Description Benefits Support Specialists are responsible for providing support to employees and employers in the areas of benefits administration and compliance. They are responsible for ensuring that all benefits programs are administered in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. They also provide assistance to employees in understanding their benefits and helping them to make informed decisions about their benefits. Benefits Support Specialists may also be responsible for researching and resolving employee inquiries related to benefits, as well as providing guidance and advice to employees on their benefits options. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of benefits administration and compliance
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to research and analyze data
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least two years of experience in benefits administration
• Certification in benefits administration (e.g. CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of benefits administration and compliance
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Knowledge of employee benefits options
Job Experience
• At least two years of experience in benefits administration
• Experience in customer service and/or human resources
Job Responsibilities
• Administer benefits programs in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
• Research and resolve employee inquiries related to benefits
• Provide guidance and advice to employees on their benefits options
• Monitor and update employee benefits records
• Prepare and submit reports to management
• Assist with the development and implementation of new benefits programs
