Job Description

ZARA IS LOOKING FOR A BENEFITS SPECIALIST (TEMPORARY ROLE) BASED AT OUR NYC CORPORATE OFFICE (NOT REMOTE).

BENEFITS SPECIALIST (TEMPORARY)


This is a temporary role until January 31st, 2024.


Position based in our NYC Corporate Office (NOT REMOTE)


KEY RESPONSABILITIES


  • Monitoring government regulations, legislation, and benefits trends.
  • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are properly registered in payroll.
  • Perform quality checks of benefits-related data.
  • Process eligibility reports and communicates to the stores/employees.
  • Provide ad hoc reports and projects as directed by Payroll & Benefits Manager.
  • Assist with the annual enrollment process.
  • Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork
  • Effectively interpret FMLA and State-specific leave programs as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  • Coordinate activities of the benefits team.
  • Administer employees' benefits, medical, dental and vision plans, wellness programs, life insurance plans, and disability programs.
  • Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives
  • Assist with new-hire benefits orientations.
  • Respond to benefits inquiries from employees on benefits enrollments, life events, and other general inquiries
  • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements and funding for companies’ group insurance policies.
  • Run appropriate reports to process arrears benefit deductions.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims with a third-party administrator.


PERSONAL PROFILE


  • Knowledge of ADP Vantage a plus
  • Knowledgeable in multi-state leave benefits.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and follow-through skills.
  • Retail experience is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to work in both a team situation and independently.
  • Keen sense of customer service.
  • Strong MS Office XP (Word, Excel).
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledgeable in workers compensation policies.
  • Minimum of 5 years of benefits administration experience.




Annual compensation range: $59,000 - $95,000
