Senior Benefits Specialist
As the Senior Benefits Specialist, you will be integral to our benefits team. You will support certain key benefits programs; dental, vision, voluntary benefits, well-being, employee discounts, and the global EAP program. Additionally, you will support the team’s benefits communications and act as a point of contact for our functional departments.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Identifies training needs. Develops and delivers training programs.
- Support vendor meetings and provides a point of view regarding plans and programs
- Assist with developing and administrating the global well-being program, Global EAP, discounts, point solutions, and engagement programs (Employee Champion Team (ECT), Employee Resource Group (ERG), etc.)
- Serves as corporate liaison to our People Experience Center and HRIS teams; research escalations from the People Experience Center and the operating companies.
- Work collaboratively with Corporate Communications to initiate and develop program communication
- Vendor payment tracking, billing, credits, and reconciliations.
- Assist with the nomination process for The Assurant Way CEO Award
- Support the day-to-day operations of the well-being program, including the well-being portal and enterprise-wide well-being initiatives, such as coaching, rewards, and well-being challenges.
- Gather reporting, populate dashboards, and complete surveys
- Present in the ECT and ERG meetings to support well-being program awareness.
- Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of interfaces sent to carriers and vendors and issue resolution.
- Work closely with the broad-based compensation and benefits team on special projects
- Assist with developing and administering Assurant’s benefit programs, including dental, vision, and voluntary programs
- Prepare tracking of well-being points accumulation against budget for team action.
- Develop and maintains process documentation for all global benefits
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 5 years of related work experience
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
- Built strong business relationships with cross-functional teams
- Driven innovation and creativity for employee programs
- Experienced in supporting sensitive and confidential information
- Proven experience working independently, prioritizing work, and pivoting with shifting priorities.

How much should I expect to travel?
- Up to 5% of travel annually
