Job Description

As a member of the HR Team, the HRIS Administrator is responsible for configuration and support of the Workday system. This includes system configuration, solution design, testing, and troubleshooting. This position serves as a technical point of contact and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, user training, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.


Position will NOT SPONSOR


  • Work directly with internal and external auditors.
  • Develop advanced reports to support HCM processes.
  • Support Workday feature release updates and enhancements.
  • Obtains requirements from subject matter experts within HR and other parts of the business. Translates business needs into functional and technical requirements. Implements solutions and coordinates activities related to project work plans.
  • Focus on recruiting in setting up and using project management processes/systems across work streams including planning of life cycle of the project, identifying key project activities and milestones, etc.
  • Provide input and knowledge sharing with Workday HCM Manager, Workday Team Members, and clients as appropriate.
  • Recommend system enhancements and packages that provide technology advancement, automation, value and stay in line with the company’s goals and culture.
  • Ensure that HR Systems are meeting all change control requirements and compliance with data system security and privacy requirements.
  • Assists Senior Workday HR Administrator to evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use Workday Configure, test, validate and implement Business Process changes in Workday.
  • Change management administration.
  • Serves as member of the Workday Administrator team with responsibilities including researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; and clearly communicating system changes, updates, and enhancements.
  • Create and develop functional designs and specifications.


Education & Experience:

  • Strong foundational understanding of HR best practices & ability to understand key HR concepts.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Workday design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with database tools.
  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
  • Able to develop strong relationships with employees and all levels of management and partnerships with key stakeholders
  • 1-3 years of in-depth Workday system configuration experience.
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrated track record of success leading key initiatives from start to finish.
