Job Description

One of our highly reputable Hedge Fund clients, is currently seeking to add a VP to their Structured Finance Trading Team. This is an addition to staff due to firm growth.


Ideal candidate will oversee a small team responsible for following; collateral, valuations, risk, portfolio performance and compliance reporting for Firms Credit/Structured Products portfolio. You will be joining a growing Investment Team working very closely with Senior Managers, Front Office Traders and PMs, and various firm Executives.



Job description/Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with traders on preparing monthly/quarterly valuations, compiling stats and providing materials for investment committee meetings
  • Analyze trade compliance/surveillance metrics and send out daily regulatory trade requirement reports to the desk
  • Use portfolio analytics software to track and report financials of underlying portfolio companies
  • Responsibilities include managerial oversight of four employee team supporting six unique businesses in the Structured Credit Department
  • Provide trading color and overall analytics on fixed income portfolio
  • Review quarterly cash distributions and ensure accurate and timely payments
  • Improve and automate firm’s trade reporting processes
  • Recommend and execute trades to improve structured products portfolio metrics and assess firms' overall trading strategy.
  • Track and report compliance risks to portfolio managers based on risk appetite and recommend strategies to mitigate issues
  • Collaborate with front office analysts and PMs with various ad-hoc requests such as corporate action election, restructuring analysis and litigation.
  • Oversee daily trade performance, conduct quarterly valuation of revolving credit facility investments held across firm's liquid credit portfolios
  • Conduct compliance tests and hypothetical trade testing for various trade scenarios


Requirements

  • Direct structured product experience mandatory
  • At least 8+ years of experience working with CLO/Structured Finance Trading Products
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related degree
  • Prior Management experience strongly preferred
  • Prior experience using portfolio management software (i.e Advent Geneva) strongly preferred
