Vp/Director Of Finance

Our reputable client is seeking an interim VP/Director of Finance to join the company.As a member of the Executive Team, the VP/Director of Finance will participate in the strategic planning process and will maintain and report on key financial metrics. This contract opportunity will also be providing financial leadership in managing budgets, overseeing all accounting functions, and conducting forecast analysis.
How you will make an impact

• Plan and oversee the annual independent financial audit and the annual, quarterly, and grant funding audit processes.
• Lease with the Chief Financial Officer regarding budgets, forecasting, and planning on the financial teams and reporting.
• Budget preparation and negotiation of federal contracts with federal government contractors
• Serve as a key point of contact for banking, investment advisors, external tax professionals, and auditors.
• Oversee the development of policies and procedures within General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Agency guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow and reduce operating costs; oversee maintenance of general ledgers structure, chart of accounts, policies, and procedures to enable financial statement preparation and compliance with all required policies, as well as internal and external financial and compliance audits and examinations.
• Oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting.
• Responsible for oversight of financial internal controls and coordination of all financial audits; review, manage and establish as needed new internal systems and controls, operations, processes, and financial procedures to ensure the integrity of financial information and reporting.

Requirements

• Experience managing a team of 10+
• Public accounting and auditing experience
• Certified Public Account (CPA) or master’s degree (MBA, MPA)
• Non- Profit Experience $50M+
