As a Remote VP of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with our team members to meet the diverse needs of our client stakeholders. Your responsibilities will span a variety of companies at different stages, including startups, growth-phase companies, scaling operations, and facilitating successful business exits. You will be a driving force in recommending and implementing process improvements by streamlining, automating, and configuring new software solutions.

In addition to your operational responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to create impactful C-Suite slide decks and actively participate in client meetings and presentations. Your expertise in client service planning and collaboration within project teams will contribute to the success of our engagements. Utilizing your advanced skills in MS Excel and other software applications, you will efficiently and accurately complete accounting and finance duties.

While this position is remote, occasional travel to client sites in the Tampa Bay Area may be required to ensure effective collaboration and relationship building.

Position Requirements:

• Experience in private equity and/or mergers and acquisitions is highly preferred, reflecting your ability to navigate complex transactions and provide valuable insights.
• Public or private accounting/consulting experience is strongly preferred, showcasing your ability to thrive in diverse business environments.
• You should possess the ability to quickly learn new software programs and adapt to changing technological landscapes.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Your comprehensive understanding and experience in various accounting and finance aspects, such as month/year-end close, general ledger management, financial systems, financial reporting, consolidations, reconciliations, and cash flow modeling, will contribute to your success in this position.
• You should have 8-11 years of progressive experience in a mix of finance and accounting roles, demonstrating your strong foundation in the field.
• An MBA or dual degree in finance, CPA, CMA, or other certifications would be advantageous.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and modeling skills, including pivots, lookups, complex formulas, and macro capability, is essential for this role.
