We’re looking for a Vice President of Revenue Operations who will lead Fireblocks’ revenue operations team. This position will play a key role in driving revenue policy making decisions and in overseeing the maintenance, improvement, and implementation of Fireblocks’ billing and revenue recognition systems/platforms.
Provide leadership to a global team of more than 600 employees to support the company's quote-to-cash and revenue cycle processes. Administer several operations, including deal desk, order management, Billings & Collections, Sales incentive/Commissions operations and Revenue Accounting.
This role requires deep technical expertise and the ability to solve complex problems across diverse subject areas. This strategic, yet hands-on role, will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with the FP&A team, Legal, R&D, Product, Sales, and key external partners. You'll be a key player in driving the financial success of the organization by building – and sustaining – a world-class finance team.
What you’ll do:
- Drive automation in the entire quote to cash process and working closely with IT, Business Applications and Product teams
- Review and document complex revenue arrangements, particularly related to sales and revenue policies for new product initiatives.
- Work with external auditors, present significant item updates, supporting documentation for the quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership on top line growth planning, strategy, compensation plans and execution
- Set direction, develop and drive strategic plans and objectives for the revenue team.
- Business and Sales Process Improvement, Automation & Digital Transformation
- Conduct Gap Analysis in business processes.
- Agile Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership
- Provide frequent education to the business on complex revenue matters including ASC 606 and provide highly visible communications to the executive team.
- Develop an excellent working relationship with the sales organization and establish yourself as a highly visible and trusted advisor to sales on complex contract negotiations, commercial and go-to-market decisions.
- Redesign and implement a new renewal process flow with automation to improve customer retention rate.
- Develop and maintain excellent collaborative working relationships with other teams including, R&D, Product, Legal, FP&A etc.
- Advance the long term vision for the revenue organization.
- Review change management process and deal desk review
- Experience leading Customer and Deal Lifecycle Management / Lead- to-Cash
- Strong business acumen and technical expertise. Successfully demonstrates the ability to define strategy, set priorities, build organizational capabilities, and work in partnership with all levels of executives in different cultural environments. Skillful at restructuring activities under high growth and complex business conditions with in-depth experience supporting business expansion, fostering employee retention, and developing global partnerships.
- Design and implement an evolved lead to cash process aligned with the company and GTM strategy
- Drive the ongoing maturation and automation of billing and revenue systems, processes and teams within the revenue team emphasizing standard processes.
Requirements:
- CPA with a deep understanding of US GAAP (ASC 606 and ASC 340-40) and financial reporting requirements.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to scale processes and support business needs.
- Experience implementing and managing financial systems in a SaaS environment
- Proven people manager with a track record of building successful teams.
- Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to land complex concepts across multiple audiences.
- Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of progressive experience in senior revenue leadership roles at some combination of public companies, late-stage startups, and/or public accounting firms.
- Provide sound strategic and risk management insights, while efficiently managing day to day activities to ensure compliance.
- Ability to both see the big picture and dive into the details.
- Strong project management skills encompassing attention to detail and ability to prioritize and lead high priority initiatives on concurrent timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or MBA
- Experience in tech, ideally startups
- A passion for Crypto / Web3 / Blockchain technologies
