Vp Of Finance - Pe Backed Cloud Service Co

Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a Private Equity backed cloud services company to identify a VP of Finance to join their growing team. The VP of Finance will have hands on responsibility for the daily operations of the accounting/finance function while partnering with the broader senior management team to drive the strategic financial growth of the company. As the top finance professional in the organization there is opportunity for this role to grow into a CFO position. This position is remote.

3. Opportunity: As the company’s lead financial professional, the VP of Finance will be charged with building out the accounting/finance administration infrastructure to support the run rate of the company to lead to a successful exit in 2-3 years.

The Exposure: The VP of Finance will be expected to provide business and operational analysis, strategic insight, and tactical financial support to be an effective business partner and trusted advisor to the senior management (CEO/VP Operations, and VP Infrastructure) and private equity partners.
5. Compensation: Base + Bonus + Equity

The VP of Finance’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide financial and operational metrics and analytics to executive management.
• Reporting to CEO and overseeing a staff of 4, the VP of Finance will have responsibility for the oversight of all aspects of the day-to-day financial management of the company including: the preparation of the monthly financial package; management of GL accounts, annual audit and submission of government and related tax returns; and financial planning.
• Further develop guidelines and processes corresponding to the rapid growth of the company.
• Increase the company’s ability to anticipate business issues and drive good decision-making through sound financial management.
• Implement reliable forecasting tools (P&L, cash flow and balance sheet).
• Develop and implement business process improvement initiatives and strategies.
• Continually review accounting policies and procedures to ensure that the company is compliant with GAAP and statutory accounting

Qualifications:

• Must have experience going through an exit strategy with a PE Backed company.
• Experience working for a Private Equity Backed company as a Portfolio VP of Finance or 2nd in command.
• Experience developing and implementing metrics/KPIs around the organization’s functions.
• 10+ years of total experience. Must have hands-on experience working in an accounting and financial management function in a high growth company.
• Experience working in an industry focused on utilization, time/materials, and billable hours required.
• Experience establishing and implementing process improvement initiatives.
• Experience establishing and implementing process improvement initiatives within a high growth environment.
• C.P.A., M.B.A. or master’s degree in finance is preferred, but not required.
• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
