Chase Auto Private Label Captive Finance
Chase Auto is a leading provider of auto financing with a portfolio of more than $80 billion in assets and relationships with 75% of U.S. franchised automotive dealers. It offers a range of products and services to meet the financial needs of its clients from retail lending, captive financing, and floorplan products to cash management, private banking, and payment processing.
The Chase Auto Private Label Captive Finance business has more than 20 years in the captive finance business and is the largest bank-owned private label captive finance provider in the U.S. We serve as the captive finance partner to seven domestic and global auto manufacturers: Subaru, Jaguar Land Rover, Maserati, Aston Martin, McLaren and EV partners Rivian and Fisker.
We are seeking a talented VP to join the Strategic Business Management team in Chase Auto Private Label Captive Finance. This role will help to lead cross-functional projects impacting all of our existing and potential OEM partnerships. These projects will focus on business strategy, new product and service capabilities, analytics, and new OEM launches. You will also be in close collaboration with Corporate Development, Finance and Product to pursue new and renew existing OEM relationships, consulting on deal economics, product structure, and contractual tenets. Given its scope, this position requires effective cross-functional communication and stakeholder management at all levels of Chase Auto. Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams across functional areas (e.g., product, finance, tax, legal, marketing, risk, data analytics, etc.)
- Analytic focus in the areas of profitability, pricing and risk to drive competitive market share across partners
- Support the design and iteration of innovative capabilities and structures for new and existing partners
- Support in development of the strategic and product priorities for Private Label Captive Finance business, serving as an objective thought partner to the General Managers and PLCF President
- Lead projects from discovery to execution, organizing teams, scoping requirements, structuring meetings, quantifying project impact, and identifying issues and actionable opportunities
- Develop and deliver senior-level communications
- Establish market and competitive intelligence to inform the GMs and their respective teams of any changing tides
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required; MBA or graduate degree strongly preferred
- Proven experience in collaborating across teams and lines of business within large organizations, including influencing stakeholders and working with diverse teams
- A high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity and propensity to learn new subjects quickly
- Strong relationship development and negotiating skills; ability to earn respect and trust among internal and external business partners and team members
- 7+ years of relevant experience in strategy, business development, partnership or product
- Advanced MS PowerPoint and excel skills, with demonstrated ability to simplify complex subject matter into digestible executive communications
- Open, collaborative, team-oriented operating style
- Sense of urgency with disposition to execute
- Outside the box thinker who is not afraid to speak up in any setting
- Ability to leverage data and anecdotal feedback to structure complex problems and make decisions
- Strong quantitative and qualitative finance and analytical skills
