Your Role

Reporting to the VP of Product and Clinical Systems, the Product Designer will be a talented creative within the growing product team focused on transforming the needs of our members, providers, and administration stakeholders into healthcare innovations into healthcare product innovations. You'll bring forth new ideas that further empower the product while showcasing your passion for our members, providers, and administration stakeholders. You’ll also work closely with our Product Managers to design new avenues to support a member’s care.

As an experienced Product Designer, you know what it takes to launch beautiful, commercially successful products and have an extensive portfolio that demonstrates your experience and contributions. You naturally take a lead role in establishing objectives, identifying needs for discovery and research, while working with others to ship most valuable features, establishing and completing project objectives.

Requirements

• Passionate about being a trusted partner to transform behavioral and motivated by our mission.
• A portfolio of shipped features or products on multiple platforms containing examples of highly usable and beautiful software that solves problems you can effectively articulate. (aptihealth is on web, iOS, and Android)
• Software experience in healthcare and HIPAA compliant environments.
• Exceptionally detailed with excellent oral and visual communication skills, and is comfortable in client-facing situations, primarily when presenting your own or others’ creative work.
• Experience working directly with engineers in an agile team environment.
• Understand Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and Google’s Material Guidelines thoroughly enough to spot when something’s out of place, and when to break the mold.
• Exposure to the following areas: CRM, team workflow, activity feeds, visualizations/BI/analytics, email design, and responsive web.
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer
• Experience with design systems and frameworks that enable multi-designer teams to scale.
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Expert knowledge of current design tools like Figma, Sketch, or XD.

Knowledge and Skills

• While this isn’t a management role, you’re comfortable delegating tasks to see your vision executed.
• You’ll be involved in all stages of the product design and development process – from initial strategy, through to conceptualization, high-fidelity, build, launch and marketing.
• Your work inspires the team. Our Product Designer will lead raising the bar for design at aptihealth through the quality of their deliverables.
• You’re a great presenter. When you put together a showcase of any work, you’re confident in front of stakeholders.
• You are an expert collaborator. You’re a team player who will collaborate very closely with product managers and engineers, and occasionally with marketing, population health, and clinical stakeholders.

The Product Designer will be a major success if the following are achieved:

• Develop and lead best-in-class design principles for a growing startup.
• Elevated the member experience across all parts of their journey while supporting provider satisfaction by listening to their needs on an ongoing basis.
• Fostered a collaborative design process with our product managers and engineering teams.
