Job Description

Lead the strategy, process, and execution of social media campaigns for all of AMC Networks brands and series. Have expertise on all social media platforms and in developing strategic campaigns that ladder up to key business goals. Most importantly, this role requires a leader who is inspiring and has management experience leading a social team.
  • Identify opportunities for digital innovation in the social media space and work with internal teams as well as talent and EPs to bring those ideas to fruition.
  • Oversee the social media budget.
  • Maintain and optimize AMCN’s presence across major social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit and emerging platforms.
  • Partner closely with AMCN’s internal creative teams to maintain and/or evolve voice and tone, creative templates and editorial.
  • Develop and report against KPIs and success metrics to drive growth.
  • Work directly with Brand Strategy team to maintain overarching brand/series strategy and marketing phases consistency in editorial rollout, messaging and creative.
  • Represent AMCN’s social media strategy at the highest level of the company as well as to key outside creative partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key platforms in the digital and social landscape.
  • Lead a diverse team in the development of social media strategies for all AMCN brands.
  • Work closely with the growth marketing and paid media teams to maximize AMCN’s investment across social platforms.
  • Work closely with Corp Communications and PR teams to ensure alignment with company-wide strategies and policies.
  • Leverage audience data and insights to make informed decisions for new content strategies and campaigns.
  • Work with various internal teams across the company to constantly educate and evangelize the importance of AMCN’s social marketing strategies and how they are helping to drive business goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A creative portfolio of proven work with an ability to generate and develop new ideas.
  • Interest in and knowledge of, AMCN’s programming and streaming entertainment category
  • 12+ years relevant digital/social experience at an entertainment company, publisher or agency is preferred.
  • Superior leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to innovate and lead a team through testing and learning.
  • A passion for entertainment and pop culture.
  • 7+ years building, managing, and coaching teams.
  • Demonstration of outstanding creative and editorial judgment and a forward-thinking attitude.
The base compensation range for this position is $175,000.00 to $235,000.00 commensurate with experience. AMC Networks additionally offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption Services, among other benefit plan options, subject to eligibility requirements.
