The Vice President of Operations and Data Engineering is a key leader responsible for several operational areas. This role will have direct oversight of the following functional areas: claims operations eligibility/enrollment and system configuration. The Vice President will be responsible for defining a best-in-class operations organization to support dynamic growth and business expansion; consult with key business stakeholders to define and communicate future business and operational readiness and oversee performance improvement activities in the growing managed care claims operations. Current accountability is over more than 50% of the managed care claims operations of CommonSpirit Health and is targeted to continue to advance as the population health services strategy promotes consolidation.

The incumbent will have deep experience in the managed care environment in order to manage responsibility for the planning delivery and oversight of the data architecture and integrity of the assigned departments. This includes design & operations of systems integration & interoperability and partnership with IT for vendor management. Responsible for business systems operations which include core systems for claims system configuration and analytics. Data Services also fall within the scope of this role. Will define and communicate department operational procedures policies and standards for acquiring implementing and operating new systems equipment and software. Will develop track and control the departments annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing staffing and operations. Consistent proactive analysis and improve upon operating standards to maintain a competitive edge within the market.
