Vp Of R&D (Enterprise Saas Start Up)

My client is an innovative and highly profitable Enterprise SaaS startup revolutionizing the digital advertising landscape. We are hiring for a very exciting and newly created role of VP of R&D, ideally to be based out of their New York office, with the CEO. (However, we are also open to consider the role to be based out of Seattle or Singapore offices)

In this unique position, the individual will build and lead a small but highly elite team to work hand in hand with the CEO on greenfield initiatives, prototyping, and building the next generation of innovative products and services that will serve as the future growth engines for the company as they expand globally.

Responsibilities include:

• Leadership and Vision: Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the R&D projects that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives. Drive innovation and stay ahead of industry trends.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads, including Sales, Marketing, and Product, to align R&D efforts with the needs of customers and the business.
• Product Innovation & Development: Work directly with the CEO and product team to drive product innovation and development, from ideation and incubation to launch. You will be working on varying greenfield initiatives using data-backed decision making in the R&D process as a guiding principle in developing new products and services or discontinuing the ones that don't work.
• Technology Roadmap: Lead the identification and evaluation of emerging technologies, tools, and platforms that enhance our product offerings and improve overall product performance and scalability.

You will ideally have:

• Understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem/latest industry trends and innovation happening in the space would be valued.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• We are looking for a technical leader who loves to be extremely hands-on, can still code, and wants to build the next generation of innovative products and services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proven experience in building SaaS products and services from incubating/prototyping new ideas to taking them to market – (Experience and a track record of building products and services in an Enterprise SaaS environment would be advantageous)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
