Job Title: Vice President, Sales


Location: Greater St. Louis or Greater Minneapolis – St. Paul, MN


Start Date: Immediate


Position Overview:


Gateway Fiber is seeking an outstanding individual to join our leadership team as Vice President, Sales. Gateway is creating a leading, national fiber-to-the-home platform. With the support of its financial sponsor CBRE Investment Management, Gateway plans to reach 500,000 homes and businesses with its service over the next several years. The Vice President, Sales will be responsible for leading our sales efforts across all customer segments (residential, commercial, MDU, enterprise), as well as launching new revenue opportunities across a national footprint.

Position Expected Outcomes:


The Vice President, Sales is expected to contribute in the following significant ways:


  • Identify and manage outsourced sales providers where appropriate.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop best-in-class sales teams.
  • Develop Multi-Unit Dwelling (MDU) sales capability.
  • Expand Gateway’s distribution channels including indirect and retail.
  • Build out Gateway’s Business Services, MDU, and residential sales capacity (people, processes, systems) to support nationwide expansion and achieve Gateway’s sales penetration goals.
  • Develop business & commercial sales capability.
  • Strong acumen and experience in prioritizing steps to grow sales teams and sales organizations.
  • Serve as member of the executive leadership team. Expected to have a strategic mindset and share insights across the entirety of the business.


Candidate Requirements:


  • Strong people leader and leadership team contributor.
  • Strong operational and analytical capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Sales & Marketing functional & people leadership.
  • Results oriented with a proven track record of sales results and achievement.
  • Experience in fiber broadband or telecommunications is a must.
