Vice President Of Sales & Marketing

Our client is an established provider of sustainably produced seafood with a multi-product portfolio and enormous growth opportunity.

They are seeking a strong sales leader with deep knowledge of the seafood industry to lead US sales and marketing and a 10+ person team across all distribution channels. This role will be based at their corporate office in Union City, California.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Puts in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
• Defines and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
• Manages the use of budgets
• Travels for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
• Defines optimal sales force structure
• Works closely with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel, and partner programs
• Creates a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement
• Manages the sales teams, operations, and resources to deliver profitable growth
• Hires and develops sales staff
• Oversees marketing strategies and efforts in order to strengthen company’s market position and achieve desired business goals
• Manages key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
• Develops plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
• Defines sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
• Provides detailed and accurate sales forecasting

• Ability to travel to customers as needed.
• Ability to commute to Union City, CA or relocate
• Experience selling to key accounts across multiple distribution channels including retail, foodservice and broadline distributors.
• Prefer multi-species seafood experience to include frozen, fresh, commodity and branded products.
• Experience leading a successful sales team
• Minimum of 10+ years’ experience to include 5 years in seafood sales
